Well, last Saturday evening was exactly what this Sooner needed - - evaluation exceeded expectation - - exceptional is an understatement - - "ain't it great to be a Sooner" goes without saying - - - AND the game was great, too!! I'm talking about the watch party; IT WAS TERRABLE - - - for my diet, but I enjoyed every minute (bite) of it. As in the past, Orenda and John, went overboard in making the evening unforgettable!!! (Since when is slow smoked beef brisket considered a snack food? THAT - - added to other gourmet snacks made it very hard to quit "snacking".)
While Sam Bradford has already made his mark in "Sooner History" and seemed to be enjoying himself on the sideline - - I wondered if he might be thinking - - "Can I get my job back when my shoulder heals"? Our back-up QB, Landry Jones, had an outstanding game as did the team as a whole - - great to see so many players getting game time and making the most of it. I know Idaho State can not be used as a "measuring stick" and, honestly, I was glad when the Sooners took their foot "off the accelerator" - - the game was not as close as 64-0 indicates. "Hats off" to our guests from the north for spending a rainy night in Norman. Actually, for those of us who saw the game - - we saw a lot of Idaho State helmets rolling across Owen Field - - cheap chin straps or hard hits???
NOW - - we return to Beef O'Brady's in Spanish Fort for our watch party this week-end; SO - - make your plans NOW and give me a reply if you plan on joining us
While, Oklahoma is "tornado country", it is now HURRICANE SEASON with Tulsa and Miami next on our schedule. SO - - it's time for the Gulf Coast Sooners to have a "Hurricane Party". Stock up on Sooner gear, fill your tank with enthusiasm, be safe, and - - - join your Sooner friends at Beef O'Bradys!
RSVP (Not sure exactly what RSVP stands for other than - - a response would be greatly appreciated.)
