Well, it's finally here and, as always, it's hard to predict the outcome. Texas does not appear as strong as last year and with their soft schedule providing easy wins it's not easy to get a good picture of the Wronghorns. The play of Colt McCoy and their running backs have NOT been impressive. Meanwhile, the Sooners have been devastated by injuries, our OL is suspect, and our receivers have developed a bad case of the "dropsies". I think that if we can disrupt the connection between McCoy and Shipley while we play sound ball on special teams - - the Sooners put this one in the WIN COLUMN!!

While nothing official has been released - - some are saying that Broyles, our best wide receiver, will be back in the lineup this week. I have my doubts - - I hope it's true - - he could be the difference maker. it was great to see Sam throwing the ball again and you can bet that our receivers will have more balls thrown at them this week than they ever thought possible. Not just from Sam - - or Landry - - or the WR coach, but by anybody that can throw the ball - - could be they even use folks who just happen to pass by

The winner of this game will be favored to win the BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP and play in a MAJOR BCS BOWL!!! Of course, the Sooners have won 6 of the last 9 Big 12 Championship - - while the others in our conference have not won more than one in the history of the Big 12. (I see NO REASON to change that trend.) Texas has plenty of money to rent planes and drag banners and seem happy to put an * on any trophy they put in their trophy cabinet. You know, it seems everything is BIG in Texas - - everything, except their trophy cabinet. But, that's OK - - they really do not need a big one - - until they award trophies to the February recruiting and whining champions!

So - - spruce up you Sooner gear - - have an early morning breakfast - - rest your vocal cords - - and join us for the 11:00 am kick off!!! Come early - - stay late - - and shake the walls with BOOMER SOONER!!!

Don't forget - - there is a free meal for some lucky Sooner - - and Sooner door prizes - - and a great Sooner crowd - - and lots of Boomer Sooner - - and AIN'T IT GREAT TO BE A SOONER!!!
