Oklahoma/Baylor Watch Party

Hey Sooners,

Tough loss - - Great Crowd! Well - - to be honestANY loss is a tough loss, BUT- - with the Sooners I'll have to admit I am not a good loser - - just not enough experience, I guess.Hey, that's positive - - this Sooner is not close to giving up, the fight is still there, the love is still there, and a lot of ball games are yet to be played. I, for one, am extremely proud of this team!!! Before the season started we lost two outstanding linebackers, the best tight end in the nation, and found ourselves rebuilding our offensive line. In the first half of our first game we lost Bradford, our Heisman winning quarterback. NOW - - on the first play of the Miami game we lose, Broyles, our best receiver. With all that - - we have suffered two ONE POINT losses!! Yes, I've watched the penalties made by our offensive line, I've watched our running backs slip when a BIG a gain looked like a sure thing, and I've seen our receivers drop touchdown passes. (Just part of the game.) Forget the excuses - - the teams that beat us played "lights out" (as do most teams that take the field against the Sooners) - - they deserved the win.

My biggest frustration is the immature, finger pointing fans I see on the Sooner message boards - - apparently, they do not realize that there is a winner and loser in each game and that the Sooners are on the losing end of fewer games than ANY team in the nation.Chances are these are just kids or, perhaps, spoiled adults that do not understand that football is still a sport - - where you win some and lose some. I'm proud of our coaches, our players, and of the Sooner's winning tradition!!! PROUD TO BE A SOONER!!!
