No, I'm not talking about another Katrina, Ivan, Frederick, etc. - - I'm talkin' about the kind the blew in from Tulsa to Norman last week and the kind we'll take on in Miami Hurricanes in about two weeks. Our Sooners seem to be improving with each game - - and, even, with out some of our key players - - Gresham, Bradford, Balagon, Granger, Wort, etc. the Sooners are making us proud!!! (AND - - did you know that Tulsa led the nation in offence in 2007 and 2008?) (AIN'T IT GREAT TO BE A SOONER!!???)

Our back up QB, Landry Jones, now has the TD pass record for a single game at 6!
In fact - - he has thrown 9 TD passes in 2 1/2 games
while Tim Tebow of Florida has thrown 5 in 3 games
And - - Colt McCoy has thrown 6 in 3 games.
(And Jones has done it with a tougher schedule than Tebow and McCoy.)
It's interesting that Murray is averaging 6.8 yards per carry, Brown is averaging 4.8 yards per carry, and our freshman RB, Jonathon Miller, is averaging 7.4 yard per carry AND we have two extremely high rated RBs joining us next year.
The Sooner in three game have scored 122 points to 14 for our opponents - - only 40 of our points were scored in the second half of the games when our opponents were tired, battered, and set up for easier scoring drives. Our Sooners are showing mercy by calling "vanilla" plays and using reserves.
After the 3rd week of the season our Sooners are;
#1 in scoring defense
#1 in rushing defense
#1 in tackles for a loss
and #1 in Red Zone defence
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD??? Another Big 12 Championship? Another Heisman Trophy? Another National Championship? - - those are ALL reachable, realistic goals for our team.The team is doing their part - - let's give them our best by showing up in ever increasing numbers at our watch parties.
