IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL SOONER FANS (from "Murph")

Hey Sooners,

This is intended for all who are who are critical of our coaches and team - - AND - - for the general information of our Gulf Coast Sooners. I'm quite certain that I've been following Sooner football for more years than anyone reading what I am writing. I have NEVER witnessed ANY TEAM being hit harder with injuries than the 2009 Sooners - - with the ONE EXCEPTION being the Marshall team where most of the players were killed in a plane crash.

Here is a list of the injuries that, at this time, have had and will have - - -
A MAJOR EFFECT on the 2009 season:

Sam Bradford, Heisman winning QB - - Out for the Season
Jermaine Gresham, #1 TE in the nation and a large part of our offense - - Out for the Season
Tom Wort, LB that overshadowed ALL other LBs during the spring - - Out for the Season
DeMarcus Granger, LB and a starter from 2 years back - - Out for the Season
Jarvis Jones, starting OL (as of Nebraska game) Out for the Season
Austin English, DE, ALL Big 12, probable ALL AMERICAN (as of Nebraska game) Out for the Season
Brody Eldridge, OL and the best blocker on the team (as of the Nebraska game) Out for the Season
Mike Balogan, starting LB from last year, (not injury related - - NCAA) Out for the Season

                                                             add to the above

Brian Simmons, starting OL, may return at sometime this season??
DeMarco Murray, our #1 RB - - missed several games, has not been 100% this season!!
Brandon Caleb, our #2 WR - - may be able to play some more this season??

That is eleven players - - one half of our team- - and 7 of those are offense!!!

        Facts to consider:
Our defense is, very possibly, the best in the country.
We have lost 4 game by and average of 3 points.
We are very young in the OL after losing 4 starters from last year (less experience now).
We have played most of the year with a QB with NO college experience.
Only one starting WR returning from last year.
Habern and Good, both starters on OL, both freshman - - injured, but now playing.

Chances are that with either Bradford or Gresham playing - - we are undefeated!!

Bad coaching?? Silly mistakes?? Bad recruiting?? Team effort lacking??
                                               C'mon Guys - - Get Real!!!

These are OUR SOONERS and they're giving it their very best - -

                                                               How about you???

NOW - - let's take the games one at a time and rejoice with every victory!!
                                                             Hope to see you Saturday!!!

GO SOONERS!!!
